About Golden Heart
Neighbourhood pub and former haunt of the Brit pack, with Emin artwork and local celebrity landlady.
Exceptionally popular ex-Trumans pub, often packed. Excellent interwar building and interior, in two completely separate bars, although the public bar on the right used to be further divided. Period features include wood panelling on the walls and under the bar, gilt Trumans lettering around the top, brick fireplaces. One of the Inter-War pubs listed in 2015.

I’ve seen this place mentioned a lot on TopJaw and in one of the episodes I saw Sandra who is the owner of this pub. She just seemed so lovely and cool that I wanted to experience this pub and actually got to meet her?! She was even cooler and funnier in person! The staff is super duper nice! A great experience overall! Highly recommend!

Really nice pub, good atmosphere and very cosy but for the love of all things good and holy please don’t serve lager in a straight glass, one of the hardest pints iv ever had to drink, wouldn’t mind but when your paying nearly £7 a pint I want some life in my drink, flat moretti is not the one.

This is one of the few times I ignored the Google Reviews score as I was guided by the Timothy Taylor’s pint finder on their website for a pint of Landlord. And we were not disappointed! On a busy Saturday with plenty of people in the area for the markets, this was a nice break from the madness. The young bartenders were super friendly and so helpful. We asked to look for the EPL on the television and to make a couple custom cocktails in addition to a proper pint of Landlord and some draft cider. They didn’t hesitate and were so cool about it. Without a doubt this place is better than its…

Really rude employee at this pub, she asked for my cousin’s ID in a really rude and condescending way, despite my cousin just ordering lemonade?? To be clear I had no issue with her asking for ID but there’s a way you should treat your customers and she chose to be as rude as she could be. Would of stayed for another drink but decided not to due to this woman’s attitude. Not coming here again and would suggest others to do the same, a shame given that the other servers were really friendly. Pretty sure her name was Sandra, given everyone else’s reviews, she was a young brunette with a bob.

Friendly staff. Limited cask ale, just Taylor's Landlord, but in really good condition
