About Green Man
Cider specialist and gastropub with exposed bricks, floral wallpaper and lots of clocks.
Licensed in 1765 and rebuilt in 1899. Close to the redevelopment on the old Middlesex Hospital site, this is a ground floor bar/pub with three cask ale pumps, and craft beer including some foreign beers. Previously a bit of a cider haven with boxes and handpumps, sadly now only two keg ciders are on offer. The large food menu includes standard pub grub, Chicken Society chicken options, Ruby Jeans burgers, and Punk Pizzas!
It has been reported that payments are required to be by card, cash not being accepted.

A very smart, light & airy pub in the heart of Fitzrovia. Really friendly staff, and a good selection of cask and keg beers. Really good music playlist too. Surprisingly quiet for an early Saturday afternoon but I’m sure it will have livened up later. Didn’t try the food but the menu looked good. Would definitely return.

I arrived and felt welcomed straight away. It’s been a while when a bar was this attentive and caring to customers from the get go. Food was delicious and drinks were severed to perfection. I even was allowed to try all sorts of ales since I never had one before. Over all phenomenal service! Big thanks to Hugo and his amazing team. 😊

There's a great lunch deal here where you can get a soft drink or alcoholic drink and a sandwich and fries for £13 which for the area is a bargain. Pints on draft range from about £7-8 which is reasonable given the quality of the beers they select. Always rotating the kegs so every few weeks there's a new selection available. For the area it's relatively quiet which can be nice if you just want a pint and a chat with your colleagues after work.

I would have given 5 stars if one of the barmen wasn't so rude! My friends and I were asking a question about the booking, and he replied in such a rude way we were surprised, even though it was a simple question. On the other hand, another staff member was really generous when we wanted to return some drinks that we didn't like and gave us new drinks - and her recommendation was great. Overall lovely experience though, great atmosphere.
