About Grey Horse
Cool pub with BBQ, burgers & whisky, plus a chill space for live bands & comedy shows.
The oldest Young's pub in Kingston (built in 1849 by the Nightingale Steam brewery) was refurbished in the modern Young's style in November 2015, but retains the plasterboard ceiling, the etched frosted side windows, as well as the encaustic wall tiles and tessellated floor in the front porch. The pub has a local feel to it, and has a dining room with open plan kitchen to the rear. The Ram Jam Club at rear hosts an Open Mic Session on Wednesdays, Blues (inc. jazz, funk & soul) on Thursdays, Comedy on Fridays and Saturdays. Quiz night Tuesday. The changing beers are usually from a local brewery.

Fantastic Dining Experience at The Grey Horse in Kingston We had the pleasure of dining at The Grey Horse in Kingston for my sister-in-law’s birthday, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. I ordered the pork belly, which was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My wife had the beef rib, which she thoroughly enjoyed, praising its rich flavor and perfectly cooked texture. Both dishes were beautifully presented and exceeded our…

I haven't tried the food, will update when I do. I have done some open mic nights and a poetry night, a very good venue. Lovely staff and patrons.

Decided to take my son here after seeing a review on YouTube by Gary Eats. We had both decided that we wanted the beef rib but our server suggested the smoked combo which we decided against. We also ordered 2 sides of skinny fries and onion rings. The beef rib while tender was fairly bland and not much taste, the onion rings were good and plenty of them. I know this wasn't the restaurants fault but there was a guy sitting behind us who's every other word was the F word, not nice when the place is fairly empty and it was a friend of the server. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area.

Best experience ever. I had an amazing time at the Grey Horse. Staff were amazing and helpful. And their Steak was absolutely fantastic.

Chicken burger was dry. £15 burger that doesn't come with chips?! Hot chocolate is made with water not milk. No cutlery or napkins or table sauces. Took the bartender 5 minutes to understand what I was ordering and another 5 minutes to work out my table number and then it was sent to the wrong table but when I finally got it it wasn't even what I had ordered. Customers apparently allowed to smoke in the enclosed patio area?! I recommend going to the Druid's Head instead for pub grub.
