About Greyhound

Located on the edge of Keston Common, this pub is popular with locals and visitors alike. The pub is strongly engaged with the local community - beer festivals, Morris dancing and fund-raising events are regularly held. There are also quiz and poker nights, and occasional live entertainment. Regular beer festivals are held, especially during the Easter weekend, when up to 15 non mainstream beers are normally available.

There is a large area out front with plenty of table sets, which is popular in warmer weather. In addition, there is a back garden with patio and children's play area and which also contains a tea room which is available for meetings and other functions.

The pub was acquired by Shepherd Neame from Enterprise at the end of June 2016 but many real ales from other breweries are available.

Dogs are welcome, as are cyclists and walkers (the London LOOP trail is close by).

A time-honoured tradition (for over 60 years) is for the local Ravensbourne Morris Men to perform outside on Boxing Day.

Note that opening times vary according to the time of year: Hours displayed are for March to October (as are food service times) but may be subject to change and could close early if quiet.

Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year for 2017 and runner-up in 2016.

Tea room is not really fit to be used as a venue. It is old, leaky, dirty with cobwebs everywhere. Even though it is free, same effort is required to make it fit to be used as venue space. The staff where very accommodation and the food was good, but honestly I would advise anyone thinking of using this venues to do a recce first.

Stopped here for a Sunday Carvery lunch. Food was fabulous and plentiful. Service was timely and friendly. Garden to rear with kids play area. Nice bar area. Green to front to walk or play on. Will return. We returned probably a year after this first review, not sure if there has been a change of hands or change of chef? Visited midweek for lunch, we ordered a few Ploughman's meals, very bland, no salad, but it does say this on the menu, but I've never had a ploughman's that didn't come with salad, Fish and chips was very oily and the egg, ham and chips was exactly that... they all tick the…

Lovely pub in Keston, Bromley. The location is perfect. Really earning a nice meal after a lovely walk. The staff was very lovely. They had a friendly homely vibe. They were also very accommodating to a large group. The food was a lot of variety to choose from. I had the large fish and chips and it was quite good. All the foods ordered looked legit yummy. The servings also looked quite generous. Will definitely be returning to sample the other dishes.

High quality pub grub, stopped in for lunch after doing a walk in the area, nice staff, well kept beer with plenty of choice. We had the homemade ham, egg and chips and the fishfinger sandwich, both generous portions and high quality ingredients
