Two regular ales and five rapidly changing guest ales are supplemented by craft keg beers. There is a piano in the conservatory room but no fruit machines, TV or 'muzak'. The pub is CAMRA's Greater London Pub of the Year for 2023, and has held that honour five times before; Sutton Pub of the Year 2024. Pot meals are served all day until 10pm. This is a cracking little pub. I made the trek down from SW17 to see what the fuss was about and very glad I did. Great selection of ales, staff friendly, really nice laid back ambience where everyone seems to know everyone. PLUS normal prices. If you are looking for a quiet pint(s) with friends or a bit of a beer connoisseur then it should be on your list. Certainly I will be coming down again and recommend others to do the same.

Nice pub, but they don’t have Guinness beer. Cider pineapple recommended by the barman was great, thank you for recommendation. Free parking but you have to register your number plate. Clean toilets Overall was ok.

Can’t believe I hadn’t reviewed the Hope. It’s a local institution and was my ‘local’ for several years. When in the area I still make an effort to go. Great range of beers, always something new, regularly have limited or rare releases. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.

Really friendly and efficient service, with a wide range of beer and other drinks. The pot meals (curry, chilli etc.) are served until late and are great, with a decent range of snacks available too.

As far as beer goes, this place cannot be beaten. It always has a superb selection of ales and something for everyone, no matter what your taste. Its range of snacks is outstanding, and overall the quality of the food gets better every time we eat there. They also have a beer festival at the end of each month which is usually so popular most of the stock is gone in a day and a half. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, especially if you have even a passing interest in a pint 😉
