About King's Arms
Georgian pub serving Thai food in farmhouse-style dining area with hanging plates and pans.
Tucked away in a street of Victorian terraces cottages often used for filming 'northern' scenes, this corner pub is Grade II listed with its historic interior recognised by CAMRA as of regional significance. Both bare-boarded, the narrow public bar at the front and small saloon at the side share a horseshoe-shaped bar top, with eight hand-pumped (four in each bar) cask ales from throughout the UK, and usually including at least one dark beer. Old pictures and photos of the pub and area are displayed on the walls. The larger rear conservatory, packed with retro objects d’art and bric-a-brac contains a series of long central wooden tables and counters with tall stools along one side, upon which Thai food is served at lunchtimes and evenings on weekdays, for most of Saturday and until 6pm Sunday. A pub quiz takes over the conservatory on Sunday evenings at 7pm. There are two function rooms upstairs available for hire. Drinking is also allowed outside on the pavement, at the front and side. Card payment only.

We had a family get together on Saturday afternoon, it's a lovely traditional London Pub, friendly people, with friendly faces. The Thai Restaurant at the rear of the pub was very comfortable in both seating and atmosphere. We had a lovely meal (all freshly cooked) with a wide variety of choices. The bar staff were very pleasant and really helpful. We WILL definitely be returning, we had a really great time. Thanks to all your lovely Staff, especially the Barmaid from Walthamstow.

A great traditional London pub. Excellent selection of beers and a good spirit selection. Very friendly Landlord and staff. Food provided by a superb Thai restaurant at the rear. You can eat it in the pub if you wish. Very close to Waterloo station. So good we travel up from Portsmouth just to go there.

Great Thai food and taste good. If the booking system can be improved and will be perfect. The system allow us to book a table at 12 noon but the restaurant part is only available at 1pm

Such a gem! Excellent selection of ales & an outstanding porter! Hope to see more vegan dishes to be added to the menu soon. Even though the pub is located on the street where the time stood still, it shouldn't stop us from adding an ethical twist to those wonderful Thai dishes today.

I tend to go to this pub at less busy times when it's quite. In the afternoon in the week. Or before lunch at the weekend. At these times it's less busy. The staff are very helpful. The Thai food is very tasty. I've eaten there on 4 occasions recently and have never been disappointed. A good selection of beer. I was impressed by the Small Beer at 2.5% it has a good flavour and body. Other beers, wines and spirits are available. It's a proper pub with a bit of atmosphere 👍
