First-time visit with my friend. We had a couple of pints. I got curious about their food, so we ordered curried cauliflower soup and venison stew. The soup was quite nice, creamy, thick, and flavorful. However, the stew was served straight from the microwave. The meat and dumpling were dry, the stew juice was watery, and the plate was messy. So I went to the bar with the plate and told them it wasn't worth £21, and they refunded me despite my willingness to pay for it because we had eaten some off the plate. Therefore, the service there is brilliant! Nice refurbished premises, surely I will…

Fabulous pub! I'm so glad this has opened. I never came to it before it closed, so have nothing to compare it to, but they've really done a fantastic job with the renovations. It has a few different seating areas depending on if you're a big group for drinks or wanting to sit in a proper dining room for food, and depending on the vibe you're feeling - more intimate cosy snugs areas as well as big group tables. We came for food and had the chicken burger, beef burger and the mac and cheese. Rarely am I satisfied with mac and cheese, but it was really great and I would order it again. Can't…

Stopped in for a quick nose around after their recent renovation and ended up staying for a pint and game of pool! Absolutely gorgeous interior with lots of little private pockets. Multiple local craft beers on draft which were ICE COLD and tasted so fresh... I was astounded. Would have stayed for dinner and the quiz (Tuesdays) if I had time. Lots of vegan options! Will be back soon.

I’m local to the area and have been excited to visit since it reopened. They have done a great job with the renovation, the pub has a good vibe and the food is excellent. I went for a roast on Sunday which was great (loved the amount of gravy that was available). I also went back last night for the pub quiz which was really enjoyable with a great mix of rounds. I hope the colour printing and quality of paper continue to be a feature of the quiz. Will be coming back as a regular participant

Effing awesome place! The venue is simply iconic and has been renewed to reopen under new management. The atmosphere has improved but it did not lose its old character and charm. It now serves incredible food with the friendliest service! Nice choice of tapas! Great chef! Can't wait for more nights with live music too! Thanks for making such a nice comeback, Leyton (Technical) Engineer! Nice tapas
