About Lion
Burgers and pies served alongside changing ales amid Victorian decor of wooden bar and chandeliers.
Located between Liverpool Street and Aldgate, the former O’Neill’s site has been extensively remodelled to incorporate a marble drawer-fronted bar, reclaimed wooden floors and vintage leather seating that harks back to the golden age of Victorian pubs.
A toastie menu is available all day.

A regular haunt when I worked in the area. Was originally called the Red Lion. At one stage it operated as an O'Neill's (plastic paddy bar). Glad it's got back to it's roots.

Great little bar with a good selection of gins. The music was great too and the bar staff very friendly and helpful - we had a good chat about gins as the barmaid had been to a gin tasting before. Food menu looks interesting too.

Great little pub, friendly staff with a good selection of beers and cocktails. Lunch menu is really good too!

Smallish boozer which used to be an O'Neil (hence the shamrock cut outs on the ceiling coving). I happened by on a Friday lunchtime, so busy, but the staff were very efficient. Reasonable range of beers and the Timothy Taylor was well kept. Atmosphere was good with office folk out for their lunch or taking a POETS.

Little bit noisy and overcrowded if you try to have conversation
