About Lord Tredegar
British fare, Sunday roasts & beer on tap in a relaxed pub with a vintage wooden bar & cosy garden.
This Grade II Listed Pub was reopened in 2012 by Remarkable Pubs. Typical of others they run being tastefully refurbished in traditional style. Three real ales available and a cider in February 2024. Inside are an ornate bar-back and a good bar counter. Some of the mirrors have gilded ivy leaves. Delicately carved wooden, mirrored over mantels also adorn the pub’s interior. There is a vintage working juke box too. In the conservatory area is an open kitchen (leading to the garden) and dining area which has a skylight with what may be original decorative cast iron but definitely modern glass, Unfortunately the medium sized garden itself abuts the Great Eastern main railway line. The pub featured in the 2019 film "Once upon a time in London".

Best and definitely the hugest Sunday roast I have had in London. We had the pork belly and the mixed meat ones. It has an amazing back garden which is lovely on a sunny day. Vibe is friendly and chilled. Will go back soon!

This is one of the greatest pubs anyone will ever visit, if you're a local you're blessed. In this day & age it's hard to find a great local that is a classic pub, grand in size featuring a cat, and garden. Though understand it's big for a reason as it's a very popular place to have great food and probably the best roast dinner in London, with me now trying to find places that will upstage this pub. For me what makes this place before the food is the staff that work here, calm and very friendly to help you feel relaxed. However the kitchen staff making these dishes are the best kept secret…

The place is charming and welcoming. The atmosphere is delightful, both inside the restaurant and in the garden. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers, such as mac and cheese, halloumi fries, and more, and everything was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and they made our evening enjoyable.

Wanted a Sunday Roast as we were four Americans in search of a truly English experience. The recommended places were booked so I read reviews and settled for the Lord T. I guessed well as the people were super friendly, place was located in a great area and the food was outstanding. The beer selection was quite nice as well.
