About Palm Tree
Stepping inside this pub is like stepping back in time. Rebuilt by Truman's and now one of London's Real Heritage Pubs, it was marooned when surrounding buildings were demolished to create Mile End Park. Run by the same family for over 40 years, it gives you a real East End welcome, serving a varied range of beers from two handpumps. Cash payments only at this pub still using an old cash register. Live music at weekends, no fruit machines and no widescreen TVs make for the right atmosphere. Real cider is usually available. Grade II listed in 2015.

This place is one of my favourite pubs in London. From the first moment to walk through the door you will be amazed how this pub is stuck in time somehow (in a good way). The people working there are absolutely the best, polite, and happy to chat with you, the service is just amazing. You will need cash that is the only deal but it fits well with the old style of it. There is a jazz night every Sunday after 8pm. The band you see in the videos are the ones that usually play and they're brilliant!

This traditional English pub is one of the best live jam sessions places in East London. Tiny but big in music and atmosphere. I visited this place on Saturday evening, the pub ws full of people and the music was amazing. They only take cash so carry some money with you.

A must-visit old skool pub near the canal & Victoria Park in Hackney. The decor, especially inside, is jaw-dropping. Beware - Cash Only! A decent ale on from Mighty Oak brewery. Superb!

Absolutely beautiful pub. First went here 30 years ago. Went to All points East to see LCD but the highlight was going to the Palm Tree after and met my son's girlfriend's grandfather who plays drums in a jazz band. Huge shout to Alan who is an East End legend!

The best place. Tiny pub. Cash only. They play jazz on Thursday Saturday and Sunday ( not 100% sure of the days, so please check )
