About Olde Mitre Inne, Ye

The oldest coaching inn in Barnet, there has been a pub on this site since 1553. Beams, exposed brickwork, wood panelling and an open fire gives an authentic feel.

In 2013 a corridor was opened to allow easy access to further rooms. There is also a well maintained outside courtyard drinking area, which now has a retractable roof and a brick-built chimenea.

Several times winner of local CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year.

Although now a Greene King managed house the pub offers three regularly changing guest beers from the SIBA list alongside IPA, Abbot, Timothy Taylor Landlord and a Greene King 'house' beer.

Great venue and I visited it recently. It is indeed a charming pub and restaurant that exudes vintage vibes. The large venue manages to feel both spacious and cozy, with its classic decor and inviting atmosphere. The blend of historic charm and comfortable ambiance makes it an ideal spot for enjoying a relaxed meal or a few drinks. The menu features a delightful range of dishes, all well-prepared and flavorful. The staff are friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. If you're looking for a place with a unique, vintage feel and plenty of space, Ye Olde Mitre is definitely worth…

Extremely lovely staff, good drink selection & food, great atmosphere and decor showing the heritage and history of the pub. Lots of comfortable seating and a really nice outdoor garden is included too! Chill vibes and even heard lovely jazz music. The summer cocktails are lovely and refreshing, not what you’d expect in a pub centred around beer!

Always love coming to the Ye Olde Mitre pub in Barnet. It is such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the staff are brilliant there. They’re always on it with anything you need. The fish & chips I had there was quite frankly some of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re nearby it’s a must and I always recommend it to anyone I know.

Extremely atmospheric pub indeed especially with the Halloween 👻 decorative theme. The staff are very friendly and helpful when choosing a drink to have. I chose a pint of Abbott Ale🍺
