About Olde Red Lion
Gastropub with a low-beamed ceiling and a beer garden, serving cask ales and an eclectic menu.
Ye Olde Red Lion has stood on this site for at least 400 years, changing very little externally. It has a popular beer garden, and a 'priest's hole' in the fireplace. The building is a quaint 'country-style' pub with an attractive low-beamed ceiling, so mind your head if you are tall. The outside seating area at the front has an old well. Up to three ales are usually available, including London Pride or Hobgoblin Gold. Sunday roasts are a specialty and events include weekly quizzes.

Lovely little pub off the highstreet in Cheam. Good food, friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed the Steak and Venison Pie which was available on their Sunday menu. The mest was flavourful and tender. Would definitely come back here again for Sunday lunch

It's been a while since we were last here and was pleasently surprised its been redecorated. Also different staff and management, which was nice. Unfortunately the roast dinner was horrible £16 for this roast beef dinner, you can ask for extra roast potatoes, which were completely different to the ones initially served. Looked like Iceland specials. There were also 3 small slices of very dry looking grey beef. Looked like a frozen dinner. My wife did say the Yorkshire pudding and veg was nice I had the steak and venison pie with chunky chips which was really nice, and the only reason I gave…

We booked a table for 2pm, when we got there the table they gave us was tiny, the person on the next table had his arm on the table meant foe us. My husband went to the bar and said about it and they moved us to another table. We ordered and they said that they had a big party and our food would be 25 to 30 minutes we said that was OK. We ordered olives and bread so we could eat that whilst we waited for our food, that eventually arrived but the people at the next table that arrived after us got their dinner, we did mention this and got told another 5 to 10 mins. Eventually our meal arrived…
