About Packhorse & Talbot
Spacious, traditional local offering British pub menu and burgers, real ales, outside tables.
Large, plush, well-lit and comfortable lounge bar refurbished in 2002. The rear patio beer garden makes it good for warm weather drinking. Named the Upper Packhorse until 1812; the present premises were rebuilt by Watneys in 1935. Note the unusual hollow pub sign. The name is believed to derive from the talbot, one of only two dogs used in heraldry (along with the the greyhound) as a companion to and guardian of the packhorse driver.
Following a demolition notice posted by the landlord in summer 2014 Hounslow Council has now designated the surrounding area as the Chiswick High Road conservation area.

I was fortunate enough to watch the 🏴 against 🇨🇭 football match in this pub. It was quite fun. Staff are super friendly and what an amazing atmosphere!

Very nice, friendly, happy atmosphere, the landlord and the staff are lovely people. I didn't eat there but the food looked great and I didn't hear any complaints. Good pub to watch sporting events as the televisions are well placed throughout. I was very impressed

Absolutely lovely pub, I would definitely recommend. My dog barked at the manager, but he kindly brought treats and water for my dog after so she liked him after that 😂. He was an animal lover with a really cute dog. That's all I need to know. 5/5. Oh, the staff was incredible, chicken wings phenomenal and whisky is pretty decent too 🙂 get yourself in there 👌🏽

Great pub! We brought the puppy with us one Sunday off of a recommendation from a friend, we weren't disappointed. The pubs was busy with football fans (which was great for me) but (calm and relaxed enough for my partner). We had a great time! The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was great and we'll definitely add this to the list for a re-visit!

Came in for a specific Sandwhich I had last summer, it was prosciutto, Brie, tomatoes and rocket. I remember it being absolutely incredible. I came in to unfortunately find menu has changed which is totally understandable. I had the BLT but unfortunately chicken was dry and it wasn’t up to standard. Please bring back the sandwiches from last years menu as they were absolutely delicious!! The quality was amazing. Lovely service as usual and atmosphere was great!
