About Plough & Harrow
Floor-to-ceiling windows and slate flooring in contemporary Wetherspoon pub below a new-build hotel.
On the site of an inn established in 1419 and, more recently, a Rolls Royce showroom, the present light and airy Wetherspoon pub on Hammersmith's main shopping street dates from 2002. It has a mixture of stone and carpeted floors and a long metal-topped bar with ten handpumps, more than half of them devoted to an ever-changing range of guest ales, generally including a choice of light and dark brews. Look out for the well-advertised beer festivals. Several tables can be found on the pavement in front of the pub and rather more on the verandah to the side, at some of which smoking is permitted. The usual Wetherspoon menu offers breakfast from 8am, but service of alcoholic drinks begins at 9am. The upper floors are occupied by a Holiday Inn Express.

I only went for drinks with my brother and nephew. We didn't have any food. The atmosphere was good, and the beers were cold, so all in all a good experience 😁

Standard Wetherspoons handily located under the Hammersmith Holiday Inn Express. The choice and standard of drinks is excellent but the staffing levels were very poor. Those on duty were excellent but it was just too busy for them to handle at times. Still, good prices for London, normal 'Spoons fare on offer.

Have liked and enjoyed this pub for many years. It's a bit worn and now dated, but makes up for it in earthy atmosphere. Touches of real Hammersmith! Food was good, and service ok. Much better Wetherspoons than the other one at the end of the same street. Now, amazingly... Even lower prices on both the food and drinks. You really won't find cheaper.

I am staying at Holiday Inn Express next door. My family and I couldn’t wait to try this place out. I was born in London now live in the states. I am visiting and brought along my American family. We walked in and the waitress never once acknowledged us. I said hello she gave us one look mumbled something and continued doing things with menus. She never came back…ever. Another man that worked there maybe a manager or bartender looked at us with a frown no one said hello and he walked in the back. We couldn’t believe it. We stood there waiting forever no acknowledgement and it wasn’t busy…

A local favourite with a friendly staff and interesting food. We are here monthly and often enjoy the sausages and mash and always pistachio soufflé. This time we had the seafood bouillabaisse and burger - both well made and presented. The menu changes seasonally and you get some nice options which makes it a lovely place to dine often. The drinks are generous and wines are very reasonable. The set up of the pub is nice with a dining area for guests with dogs as well as a separate tv lounge and bar area and outside garden area - all of which are cosy and inviting. Service is very friendly…
