About Prince of Wales

Small, compact single bar corner local, established in 1866 and rebuilt in 1925 with Dutch gable style exterior; renamed Gallagher & Sons from 1993 to 2003. It has an attractively carved bar with central clock above, humorous quotations from drinking legends, and several mirrors on the walls. TV sports.

Following a period of closure the pub reopened after a makeover in November 2021. From that date one cask ale has been reported, plus keg beers/lagers including BrewDog IPA.

Nice pub with a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. Staff are friendly and welcoming. They have a good selection of bar snacks and food to choose from. It's located not too far from Victoria station and the theatre's. Also not far from many restaurants so is convenient if you want to go for a couple of drinks before going out for a meal or a show

A great little corner pub, The Prince of Wales is bustling with customers enjoying the football. Happy crew offering excellent service. Plenty of beer both cask and keg. This is most certainly a well cared for venue. Thank you to the team for my time here.

Had a couple of beers with a friend. Feels like a country pub inside but a town pub outside. The staff were very friendly and eager to serve even though it was near closing time. Beers were well kept.

Great little traditional English pub to watch the football. Love the traditional English bar and stools. Staff were super friendly despite how busy it was (Euros Final).

American here. Visited London alone and this pub made me feel like I lived there my whole life. Fantastic staff and patrons who were welcoming and not short of conversation. Great local beers on tap. Thank you to Peter for giving me a great experience of a true English pub.
