About Constitution

Ornate, 19th-century hostelry with dark wood decor serving real ales, and classic, British pub food.

Cosy, smart and comfortable wood-panelled single bar pub, the first Italianate, ornate tavern built in Pimlico; by Richard Lacy, dating from 1842. It was customary then to build a tavern first and then radiate out the other properties being built, and this is exactly what happened here in Churton Street. The pub was named after a sailing ship.

The site had a makeover in mid-2016 and became under new management. The walls are dark oak with a few pictures, brass plates and mirrors. The floor is wooden with a tiled area around the bar. As well as up to three cask ales, there is a wide selection of craft beer in bottles such as the American brewed Blue Moon, Meantime London Pale Ale, Brewdog Punk as well as a variety of bottled ciders. The menu is varied and includes pub classics. There are a number of tables on the pavement area outside.

🚇 Pimlico 🍺 £5.50 Cruzcampo The Constitution is located in the heart of Pimlico close to Tachbrook Street Market. The nearest Tube is Pimlico, Victoria Station is also close by. This pub was built in 1842 and is built in an Italianate style which is synonymous with the area. The pub is named after the sailing ship HMS Constitution which only saw two years sea. This is a traditionally decorated one bar pub that unusually has windows at the front and the back of the bar. The bar area is a good size and is set out in an ‘L’ shape. The servery is located on the left hand side and has a…

Pleasant and cheap pub in pimlico. Very Old school style in a nice area of town. Upstairs and outside seating are available. Food is average with reasonable prices. Lots of different Beers and ales to choose from with a very good spirit selection, and decent cocktails selection. Close to pimlico and Victoria tube stations. 2 TVs for sports.

Went along to take part in the weekly pub quiz on Wednesdays - turned out we were the only team so the quiz was cancelled. Was a shame - but food was good. We had the beef steak salad, lasagna and fish and scampi with chips. The atmosphere was generally quiet but got a bit busy later on in the evening. Would be back here to try the quiz!

The bar tender was super nice. The place is spacious and welcoming. I ordered the noodles as they were offered as a low calorie option and they were ok

Cheapest pub in Westminster for food and drink, with friendly staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere. It has a good selection of beer, wine and spirits and is reasonably priced too. They also have a good selection of food to choose from as well as snacks like crisps and peanuts. It has a upstairs dinning room should you prefer to sit upstair away from the bar. There is also benches outside should you prefer to sit outside. They have several TVs for watching sky sports
