About Prince of Wales
May close early if quiet.
Friday and Saturday closing billed as 'late'.
A one-bar pub with three fairly distinct areas. Refurbished and expanded early 2018 to include a lower lounge area. Bright blue painted walls contrast with the dark woodwork and polished light floorboards. A variety of tables and seating. Air conditioned.
Accessible toilet in the lower lounge area, which has entrances from the car park and garden (both with a small step).
The pub dates from around the mid-19th century and has evolved over the years. Reverted to its original name in 2010 having been renamed the Princess of Wales in 1997. It became a freehouse in March 2013 having been a Young's house since 1876.
Real ale reinstated April 2024 having been discontinued November 2022.

Haven't been to this pub for many years (one of my old haunts) and its been done up so amazingly! Stacey behind the bar was a real gem. Will definitely go back soon and would recommend to everyone. Thank you Stacey for putting up my poster too!

Large, friendly roadside pub. I hope it was just my early attendance to account for how quiet it was but the staff were great at putting on "my" music on. More punters = more ales on offer (I would hope).

Like the owner and tje staff are ok but its always dead, the beer garden needs a massive makeover, inside looks messy and unclean, the lines for the beers are not clean and 1 pint gave me a really bad stomach ache, hope they can get it together and give the whole place a massive revamp as its not a nice place inside and out
