About Queens Head

Wood-beamed pub with fireplace and a leafy garden, serving traditional Sunday roast dinners.

The pub dates from at least 1722 and there is a charming picture of its interior in 1839 from Faulkner's History of Hammersmith. Now it is a large but cosy establishment on the famous Brook Green, which was called the Maidenhead until rebuilt in 1812. Upmarket and much larger than the frontage suggests, with several drinking and eating areas stretching back to the rear beer garden, which is worth a visit in itself - note the proper trees. Formerly patronised by Sir Henry Irving and William Morris. Note the pub sign, a nod to the original image used on the world's first postage stamps in 1840.

One of the most hospitable and thoroughly accessible pubs in Hammersmith. I had forgotten it existed until called to a HAFSON AGM being kindly hosted there for the third year. What a pleasant reminder of such a airy Autistic user friendly space with so many different seating choices inside and out. ( apologies for no outdoor garden pics ..too busy talking ! ) No matter what your party size, romantic tete a tete, after works drinks, leisurely group or family lunch, meetup, celebration: birthday, anniversary, retirement, divorce ( yes l had a party 🎉)this wonderful venue will accommodate…

We had a great experience at this pub, enjoying both the burger and the Fish and Chips. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere made the visit even more enjoyable. We left feeling fully satisfied and would definitely come back!

This is our regular go to pub, it’s near our house and our baby dog/daughter Molly 🐾, loves it here, as they have this huge garden right at the back, and she can play free. Fran and Michael (General Managers) are now our friends and we love coming here. We have been served right from the beginning by Gemma, who has been an absolute gem, she is always looking after us and Molly, and we are coming here almost every day. We 100% recommend The Queen’s Head pub, food is delicious, service is amazing.

We were served by a lovely server with pink hair - didn't catch the name but we were made to feel very welcome. 🩷 The pea hummus was really good!
