About Raven
Classic pub offering a big beer list, hearty grub, free pool, darts & regular live entertainment.
Having previously closed in 2018 when the tenant retired, the pub re-opened as the Raven in March 2019. Following a subsequent 18 month's closure, the pub opened once again in June 2022 as part of the Pulse Venues group. The interior has a mix of dark wood panelling, exposed brickwork and contemporary furnishings. Up to 12 craft beers available on tap. With the operator's penchant for Cornish beers a variety of Sharp's ales have been found here on cask.

This is a great pub. The beer selection is fantastic. Try the Raven IPA! The burgers are super tasty, the chicken is tender and the staff is super kind and friendly. It's great to see a non-chain pub like this do well. They are well worth a visit to grab a pint (or two) and a bite!

A most excellent experience all around. The Sunday roast was delicious with a generous slice of beef with well done roast vegetables. The staff was very pleasant and engaging. The ale selection was wonderful. Recommend the Doom Bar and Legend ales

With a wide selection of draft and pub favorites, this is a great stop on your trip. The lamb burger comes with fries. It is the most flavorful lb burger I've had. The team is so friendly and helpful with a great family feel. Order at the bar and pay as you go. I had no problem finding seating. The food and people were so great, I came back a second night in the rain. The nraised short ribs were fork tender. The veggies were some of the best I've had. I combined dinner with two pints of their Raven IPA, a must try. Do yourself a favor and visit this family pub. Ypu can't go wrong with…

My wife and I visited on our honeymoon and happened to stop by for a bite to eat. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food and drinks were wonderful on top of a very fun atmosphere at karaoke night! Just disappointed I forgot to buy a raven shirt to bring home!

Stopped to have a drink and sit down after walking all day, and immediately we were welcomed by wonderful Claudia who was hosting karaoke. We had so much fun. Sidney was amazing, as was the other bartender whose name I didn’t catch, unfortunately. The whole atmosphere was great, cozy and inciting. We will be back! 💙 Edit: we went back and did some more karaoke! Met more wonderful people and can’t wait to be back!
