About Real Ale Way

Opening in September 2021, this is the second "Real Ale Way" to open within Bromley borough and operates in a similar manner to its well-known predecessor in nearby Hayes. Quickly establishing itself as a popular venue with a mixed clientele, this is friendly and welcoming to all.

A former soft furnishings shop, the premises have large double aspect windows, mirrors, exposed floorboards and cream coloured walls making the single room light and bright, along with several lampshades. Traditional prints of Kentish farms along with pictures by local artists (some of which are for sale) complement the contemporary interior. The wooden bar has mirrored drinks shelving behind with a maroon coloured back wall. There is a range of high and low seating and tables, plus stools by the bar.

Up to eight cask ales are available, almost all of which are sourced from smaller breweries in Kent, dispensed by gravity from a cold room at the back. As well as a range of cider from Kent, there is also wine, spirits and Prosecco available. Some of the wines plus gin, vodka and rum are sourced from a wide range of Kent producers (including Anno, Bathtub, Chapel Down, Greensand, Boutique-y and Copper Rivet)

(Despite the address in Station Road, West Wickham station is about 10 to 15 minutes walk away)

We popped in with family and friends after our Sons Baptism at St Marks. TJ the manager arranged a food spread and we had a great Sunday afternoon! It’s such a friendly place and TJ was a star and nothing was to much!! He served drinks for everyone with such speed with a friendly smile!! I would so recommend this micro pub to anyone!

3rd offering from the Real Ale Way following Hayes (Kent) and Westerham. Good selection of beer, all good. Greg (owner) and barman today happy to talk about the concept and provide knowledge on the beers available. A very pleasant 4 pint session. Will I go again ....you bet!

Called in on a Friday evening (had only visited lunch time before). Busy but not over crowded. Friendly service. Great beers. Stayed a lot longer than we planned.
