What a lovely local bar. Very friendly staff and customers. The bar is very clean and has a huge selection of spirits, beers and cocktails. They offer great drinks and food deals and specials. If you're on a day or night out, Od recommends this Eltham pub..

Beautiful tiny pub in Eltham High Street. I had a burger and a pint of Stella. The food was lovely and the beer fresh and delightful. The staff member was very helpful and charming. A place to come back.

Visited here for a food on a Sunday evening and enjoyed an excellent Sunday Roast. Having eaten at Greene King Pubs before I kind of knew what to expect. The roasts are usually popular and often sell out, so was happy the vegetarian option was available. The pub was quiet which suited us and was perfect place to eat and talk in peace. Compliments to the chef and barman for service. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

A former employee recently 'spilled the beans' to me about some of the practices that take place in the pub, particularly around food. A Confidentiality Agreement has been signed to protect their identity. Of those items which are on the current menu, only the sandwiches and wraps are freshly prepared. Everything else is frozen, comes in pre-portioned bags and is simply heated up in the microwave, plated and rearranged to make it appear as if it has been freshly cooked. Sunday roasts, pies, fish & chips, Mac & Cheese, it is all pre-portioned and heated up. Even the Christmas meals…

We booked for 4 adults and 2 children (one in a highchair). For 4.45pm for dinner. When we arrived we were told that the chef wasn't going to be back until 5.10pm. We waited for more than 20 minutes for food which arrived just after 5.30pm. Apart from the kids' meals (nuggets and chips), the food was inedible, the roast chicken and roast potatoes were so dry. The carrots and cauliflower cheese were cold and tasted horrible, the gravy was a tiny portion and what we had was so lumpy. We were missing items from our meals (yorkshire pudding and seasoned greens). The bbq chicken sauce was so sour…
