About Rocket

Wetherspoon pub in a remodelled 1960s riverside office block with a large, curved window.

Description: A popular Wetherspoon's pub close to Putney Bridge and overlooking the Thames serving up ten real ales, at least one of which is locally brewed, as well as an expanded choice of craft keg beers and cider. A large restaurant area with app service, open from 8am for breakfast, overlooks the river through full length windows while the attractive mock-traditional small back bar and alcoves create a quiet, relaxing and intimate atmosphere for drinkers. The local history panels, dusty books and fancy carpet are reminiscent of early Wetherspoon pubs but the emphasis on the restaurant is a new venture. Local sensitivities mean outdoor seating is restricted to within the ropes. Previously a cocktail bar/restaurant of the same name, closed for nine months, gutted and reopened as a Wetherspoon bar and restaurant on 30 April 2010. Located on ground floor of riverside apartment block built c. 2004 opposite Young’s Boathouse pub.

Nice spot for a drink or bite by the Thames. The food is reasonably priced and they have offers on their pub classics between 2-4pm - so we only paid £9 for the Fish & Chips which included a soft drink. (Or you can pay a little more to upgrade it to an alcoholic drink). As with all Weatherspoons, you can order via their app.

An unusual location for a 'Spoons by the side of the River Thames. Pleasant and quick service when I popped in, with no problem to try an ale before i bought. I also had a Hazy Jane with the chicken wing basket meal. Less than £15 for two beers and a meal by the riverside.

Walked here from Charing Cross station. Long way but worth it. Heard good things about the beer selection at the Rocket & it's location over Putney bridge on the river Thames. It's now one of my favourites. The pub has a nice feeling about it and the views of the river are lovely. It was very busy but you have the option to sit outside if you wrap up warm. Drinks were dirt cheap for London. White wine spritzer for the wife & a pint of Bud Light was £7.00. Ridiculously cheap for a city. Great selection of craft beers available. Stella was £5.45 a pint but I wouldn't have made the 6 mile walk…

Came here for breakfast. Wanted somewhere to chill whilst waiting for processing of a visa. Wanted somewhere by the river and this place didn’t disappoint. Got eggs benedict and hash brown and orange juice which came to £8.13. Got good view to go with it. Toilets were clean also. All in all this was a nice Wetherspoons. Staff were also friendly and checked everything was ok. Good service.
