About Shaston Arms
Small, glass fronted traditional pub owned by family-run Dorset brewers, Hall and Woodhouse.
A shop conversion by Hall & Woodhouse dating from the start of the 21st century. Small pub with dark brown decor, alcoves and a lower level seating area, contrasting with most modern conversions. Shaston was the medieval name for Shaftesbury in Dorset, immortalised by Thomas Hardy as shown on the history boards in the pub. Has a cosy “aged” feel with low ceilings, old fireplaces, mirrors, etc. Two narrow corridor-like connecting rooms with booths and separate drinking areas. The muzak has been commented upon unfavourably.

🚇 Oxford Circus 🍺 £7.25 Outland West Coast IPA A Wonderful Intimate Venue. The Shaston Arms is located in the heart of Soho just a stone's throw away from Carnaby Street. The nearest Tube is Oxford Street, it’s a five minute stroll to get here. You may be forgiven for thinking this is a Victorian pub that has been around for over 150 years. This pub is actually two shops that were converted as recently as the year 2000. This pub is run by Dorset brewers Hall & Woodhouse. Shaston is the medieval name for Shaftesbury, the Dorset town near the brewery. This is cosy low ceilinged pub full…

I was here on a Tuesday afternoon at 4pm and it was quite quiet. This nice pub does have an odd layout with a wall separating the bar from the seating area. They had 3 cask ales and a limited selection of around 8 whiskies (I opted for a double Makers Mark at £11.40). The service was excellent. They have ample seating outside and being less than 100 yards from Carnaby St this pub is in an excellent location.

Decent pub serving Hall & Woodhouse beers which makes a nice alternative to other venues in the area. Despite being busy we managed to get seating on a Saturday afternoon. Bar staff provided speedy service with a smile. Ideal venue to meet friends.

Visited with my partner, I really enjoyed. The service was very friendly, our server Carolyn was absolutely fantastic. I'm definitely going back and highly recommend this fantastic place.

Super cute! Sat in the small courtyard at the front, but looking forward to giving it a visit in winter as the inside is super cosy. Just drank gin & it was pretty punchy in price, but it is central, so I assume that’s how much you’d pay most places.
