About Shinner & Sudtone
Situated in the heart of Sutton, these premises opened as an Antic pub on 15 September 2016, and is now operated by Portobello Brewing. The long bar area has tables and chairs to either side of a central walkway. At the end is a small separate area on a higher level, adorned with numerous old pictures. Two changing ales are served (often Portobello), with an additional one offered at weekends. Key keg beers are also sold. Craft beers are available in bottles and cans. Quiz and Open Mic nights are held. The name is derived from a former department store near the site (Shinner's) and the original name for Sutton, first recorded in 675 AD.

Booked a table to celebrate my birthday with friends.Food was good,loaded nachos and burgers.Bar staff were very friendly and patient with us noisey crowd.I will definitely be returning wether a quite drink or get together,I would recommend.Thank you staff for your service and friendliness.

Had a lovely evening on Saturday with a few friends of all ages including four legged ones celebrating my 60th. reserved a booth few days before. comfortable with chilled atmosphere. good music, good choice of food and drinks. all enjoyed their selves. we will be back

I booked out the top floor section for a joint birthday party and Shinners was a brilliant venue. We got to bring a speaker and play our own music, and was offered the option to decorate if we wanted. I pre-ordered some food, expecting like freezer bag food or something, and it was all hand-made and absolutely delicious! Staff of all kinds were lovely as always, and the booking process was nice and easy. Atmosphere is always fun and relaxed- deffo Sutton’s best pub. I’ve got friends and family considering the space for future events - it was a hit!

I went here on Saturday for a meet up with my old friends and got a couple small plates. We could not have gone to a better place. The food was lovely and as you should expect it. Service and atmosphere were brilliant and i was served by a couple of ladies called Tia and Annaliese who were really lovely. Thank you Shinner!
