About Star of Kings
Relaxed pub with striking graffiti wall, terrace and basement club hosting live music and DJs.
Feb 2022 - cask beer returns from Five Points.
Sister pub to, amongst others, The Star of Bethnal Green. Beer range changes but usually from local breweries such as Hammerton, Redemption and Hackney, beers listed were on in June 2016. There is a 100+ capacity basement bar for live music and a first floor function room. Pub quiz Tuesdays. The food changes every three months with a new pop up kitchen, of the burgers/hot dogs/salads variety. The front terrace leads into a smaller bar with high tables and stools (and what seem to be the functioning handpump). This then leads into a much larger back room with a mixture of seating including settees, armchairs; oh and a pinball machine.

Great little pub just around the corner from Kings Cross Station. They have some very tasty beers, although a little on the expensive side. We visited on a Monday afternoon, so it was very empty, but I can imagine it is a very lively spot on a Firday night. The bar staff were amazingly hospitable and friendly. The kitchen was closed, but they said it was fine to order in, and we shared our KFC bucket with the superb Scottish barmaid whose name escapes me now, but she was extremely welcoming, chatty and knowledgeable about the ales they had on tap.

The food is likely to be tasty and very delicious. The service was spot on and the atmosphere is what you make it to be. In other words, you can have as much fun to enjoy, as you choose to, although the atmosphere is rather enticing. I can still leave and go somewhere, before being left. Absolutely perfect, for happy hour. Thanks!

Great burgers, great service, great crowd! What else can a girl (or boy of course) want? We will be back here for sure! Mexican burger and chipotle mayo was amazing!!! Awesome service Paul :)

I really liked this pub and will visit again. Staff were friendly and helpful with telling us what they had on tap. I was there on a Monday evening, not a busy at all, but I can imagine this pub having a good atmosphere at the weekends. This is why I gave not such a good score for atmosphere. Suppose it was a Monday evening.

We came here looking for a Sunday roast which they didn’t have BUT we ended up having 3 tacos for £11 instead and they were surprisingly good. We had the cochinita, barbacoa and masa fried chicken tacos and they were really good. Will definitely come again
