🚇 Surrey Quays 🍺 £5.00 Fosters and a packet of crisps ❤️ A no frills locals pub which gets lively on Millwall match days. . Whelan’s is easy to get to and is just a minute walk from Surrey Quays overground station, Canada Water is a ten minute walk if you take the Tube. . This pub was built in 1869 and is quite simple in appearance. This independent Freehouse could do with a lick of paint but for most independent pubs right know survival is a priority meaning paint jobs and upgrades are put on the back burner for now. . Perfect place to take a drink before and after Millwall game. Proper working class shithole, excellent prices, big back garden, full of Millwall fans on matchday. All recommendations. COYL CROATIA

A fantastic pub full of proper, honest talking Londoners. My first time I went in there after Millwall v Cardiff game and certainly will not be my last time. Thank you to the owners, staff and locals who made the atmosphere a fantastic memory, and the best hangover I've had in a very long time.

The best place for a crisp pint. Great place to chill out, play pool and feel welcome. Get treated like family

Walked in and liked the vibe of the place however this was quickly diminished when I was told it was a minimum £5 payment so I told the barmaid Lauren to keep the 70p, instead she put through a drink that cost me an extra £3.40. I thought maybe this was a misunderstanding on her part, however when my friend was told about the £5 minimum he said ok I’ll just have two beers, instead of being charged £8.20 he was charged £10 by Lauren. I will not be going back solely on account of her actions.
