About White Horse
After being called The Holmesdale, and then from 2021 the Kilkenny Tavern, The White Horse has reverted from 24 December 2022 to that former name. It features large TV screens, and cask ale is once again available. There is a weekly pool tournament and events include live music. The pub welcomes Crystal Palace supporters on match days. Indoor and outdoor function areas are available for hire.

Lovely pub. The thing that really struck me was the loos. They *sparkle*. The landlord/lady clearly cares about this place. It feels *nice* to be in. So, it's clearly a sports pub - very close to Selhurst Park - but it's not a typical sports pub. Sure, you can buy Fosters, Carling, Guinness or Strongbow if you want (or Coors if you hate beer and life itself) but also Inchs cider, Camden (Helles and Pale), Madri, Moretti, Staropramen and two real ales. Today it's Doom Bar and Harvey's Sussex Best. The Best is an excellent beer, in excellent condition. Pool table, darts, wood burner, big beer…

🚇 Selhurst 🍺 £6.00 Madri A Lovely South London Local Popular With Palace Fans. The White Horse is located in Selhurst close to Selhurst Park the home of Crystal Palace Football Club. The nearest station is Selhurst, it’s a five minute walk to get here. This pub was built in the 1930’s and has had a few monikers over the years. Wonderful landlady, just like the good old days, she offers sandwiches, rolls, sausage rolls etc to customers, she gets a shellfish man to come in at the weekends, very friendly staff, great atmosphere, clean…she’s transformed this pub for the better. Dart board and pool table, car parking available, nice garden, clean toilets…a lovely pub.

Popped in after a Palace match, plenty of staff, nice and busy atmosphere. Took great care pouring my Guiness which is a great example of super service and rare in many places. Enjoyed the sport and open fire, then they appeared with sandwiches. If you want a beer and good boozer this place is great. Nice people too.
