About Woodman
British food and Shepherd Neame and guest beers in a dog-friendly traditional pub with a garden.
A welcoming and cosy village pub, whose landlord is a real ale enthusiast. Rebuilt around 1900 and extended in the 1930s, there is a split level bar with various cosy areas. The spacious enclosed garden has a patio area leading up to the lawn. Summer barbecues are an occasional added attraction.
The pub hosts many events, some of which are held to benefit local charities - for the latest information use the pub's social media. Seasonal beers from Shepherd Neame are sometimes available.

What a shame was really looking forward to coming back to the Woody. Well I won’t be returning. Visited today with my parents and although I am aware it’s only just changed management it shouldn’t be a reflection on the food and staff as that should be good to go straight away! Was expecting there to some steaks like advertised but very small menu, maybe being a Monday?! But should have been made clear on website/social media etc. Salt and ‘pepper’ squid was soggy and so so spicy it was nearly inedible and a near 5 pieces!!!! Shop brought homous and missing items that we’d asked for but still…

Just returned from a lovely lunch at the Woodman. Group of four served by the friendly staff. Food delicious. Sea bass was excellent as were the other mains. Thank you.

Place is barking up the wrong tree! Chopped their hours. Not much on the menu and an atmosphere to freeze any forest. Shame as the pint was ok.

Sunday roast really good. Attentive waitress and individual bills, that's such a bonus when you go in a group.
