About Anglers
Mainly British pub grub is served in a large-windowed dining room or at Thameside outdoor tables.
Pub refurbished in February 2018, located in an idyllic location on an old riverfront wharf, where one can drink while watching the swans and waterfowl, and hear the vocal parakeets flying overhead. The pub inside is more upmarket and food led, although not to the detriment of drinkers. Upstairs there is another bar area, mainly for eating, with panoramic views across the river, a central open space looks down on the bar below. Changing beers are usually locally sourced. Quiz nights every Thursday and live music at weekends.

Would not recommend this restaurant for people with dietary restrictions. They have a gluten free menu but clearly advised us that they could not serve if the person was Celiac. Luckily is was a gluten intolerance and we could be served. On arrival there was no one to greet us or show us where to sit. Waited for a while on the front steps and then finally went looking for a server. We arrived on time for a 7pm reservation and while other tables had names there was none with our reservation even though they had our reservation on the system. So we sat at a random table…while they held the good…

Beautiful pub on the river! Went in for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. The food was amazing, the service was amazing and the team were super friendly.

We arrived on a Sunday after a lovely walk by the river but hadn't booked a table, lucky for us they had a table inside that was available as they had a no show. The greeting was friendly, service was good and the food was lovely. We were not rushed and also had dessert which was also very yummy. We will definitely visit again as they have a good menu but if you are not hungry then you can enjoy a drink by the river while we have wonderful weather. Remember to book so that you are not disappointed as it gets very busy.

I booked a family meal for 10 people. Every single person was delighted with their meal. We had a mix of tastes including vegetarian, the cauliflower cheese side was perfect and the customer service was excellent. Would happily come again.

Visited as a group of 10 friends. Great location, food and drinks! Served by Tate throughout our visit, who is absolutely spot on with his hospitality! We'll be back! :)
