Family-friendly spot with a garden and play area, plus pub food, with live TV sport and pool table.
Friendly back street community local with garden suitable for families. It is mostly carpeted, has scattered chairs and tables and an open log fire to keep the bar warm in the winter. Nice patio garden to sit out in with children’s play area. Opens at 10am for locally renowned reasonably priced breakfast. Unusually, a 2 chair barber's shop forms part of the interior (operating hours 10-6 Tue-Sat).

Absolutely love the Bear! Sunday roasts and the breakfasts are both amazing. Staff are wonderful here too. The garden is fab in the summer too, really big and loads of seating. There's live music and pool, too!

I want to like it because the place has character, but the entire garden is filled with dog waste. Both times i've popped in when the sun is out, its like dodging landmines.

I've just come across this place. I popped in today and had my hair cut by Vince and a nice pint of Moretti. Would highly recommend both. Pool table, dartboard and food. Very nice outside area and plenty of TV screens.

Outstanding place to visit when out of town. Food is awesome, really good friendly atmosphere, and I got my hair cut at the same time while wife is shopping in town, well done guy's 5*

Vince is a lifesaver! I got my hair completely ruined by a barber shop up the street and Vince squeezed me in between appointments on an emergency right before a wedding. Also just a lovely and personable guy who will chat with you about anything and was incredibly welcoming to a tourist not from Europe at all. Thanks Vince, I’ll definitely be back next time I’m here! Cheers from California!
