About Baring

InJuly 2022 The Baring reopened as a quite posh gastropub/restaurant with

seating area at the bar but most tables set up for dining (though when visited some punters were just having a session). Reopened under the management of Adam Symonds and chef Rob Tecwyn. Oct 2023 - one cask beer from Five Points, keg offerings from Anspach & Hobday, Five Points and Harbour.

Local authority listed, imposing, cosy back street corner pub. Worth seeking out. The pub underwent a full refurbishment many years ago, including repairs to damage inflicted by the Luftwaffe! Close for the Regent's canal and former Gainsborough film studios. Nearest tube for some will be Angel.

A fantastic Sunday lunch. Friendly & attentive service. All of the courses were delicious. We particularly enjoyed the toasted rice ice cream to finish. Would highly recommend!

Been meaning to go to the baring for a long time and can assure you, it did not disappoint! Absolutely loved my experience here. Cosy environment and nice vibe with very friendly staff. But most importantly, the food was outright delicious! None pretentious plates but great flavours and variety of food. Highly recommend. Quail shish was 10/10 as well as the pork collar.

The Baring 📍55 Baring St, London N1 3DS The baring is the brilliant pub in Islington, north of London. The pub has brilliant choices of wine and cocktails. The food is also freshly made with great taste. The cod is very fresh with kind of creamy sauce. Salad is full of different vegetables and leaves. Well prepared onions taste sweet and yummy. Chicken liver parfait is also great choice and must try dish. I tried it with bread! If you want to have a chill time with friends, the Baring is the brilliant choice with reasonable price, good food and nice wine. 💰Price: £50 per person

The Baring is a chilled out pub with good food, very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. The chicken parfait and Bloody Mary was outstanding! We thought the tomato salad tasted a bit odd but the main pork roast was good. Thought the food was over salted for our taste but still delicious nevertheless.

I’ve eaten here three times now and it’s quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in the broader area. The menus change each month so you always get to try something new, while I believe some of the dishes are more permanent. Every dish I have ever tried was fantastic. They have a fantastic selection of wine to go with the food. The atmosphere is really nice and perfect for a date night or evening with friends. My wife hired the private function room upstairs on our last visit. It’s is a fantastic area for celebrating a birthday or other occasion, and the food and service was equally…
