About Bayswater Arms

No-frills pub with dark wood decor and large windows, for real ales and a big British pub grub menu.

Bayswater is a corruption of Bayard's Watering, the chief spring of the district situated near Queensway and from which in 1439 a conduit was built to supply the City of London with water. Now the eponymous pub is an air-conditioned haven from the bustle of Queensway. Faux Victorian interior, with dark wall coverings sporting framed photographs of local Edwardian street scenes and the area's well-known former residents, contrasts with the 60s block in which this pub occupies the corner. Plenty of tables on a mixture of carpeted and painted wooden floors and a menu of pub-grub food attract in tourists and other passing trade as well as the regulars.

Note that the licence does not allow sale of alcohol before 10am Monday to Saturday or noon on Sunday.

Fantastic pub! Elegant and classic interior design, chill atmosphere, nice music, super friendly and helpful staff, tasty food! I like the way they cook Full English Breakfast: not too much oil. BTW the cheerful bartender actually asked how old I am when I ordered a cider. Pretty sure it’s a nice joke bc I’m already 30. Do I really look like I’m underage? ;)

The food was great and staff was very kind and helpful. My biggest problem here was the toilet. Well, I know it is mainly effect of customers who should stay in nowhere and never go to the public, but it is part of the establishment, and I had to remove one star.

We took a cab at the Hotel we stayed to Bayswater Arms for dinner. Walk into Bayswater Arms. It is traditionally an English Pub with nice atmosphere . Although plenty of seating options , it is mostly taken when we enter, as its getting busy. Seems its quite popular with tourists and also for the locals to unwind after a busy day . A notice is displayed to inform customers to order , pay at the counter. The food was then served to our table. Service is fast and friendly. For fish & Chips, the cod was fried perfectly with crispy fries served along a delicious tartare sauce. The Steak &…

The food is really nice and abundant. The place is a topical English pub, really nice. The service is really poor, the guy asked me to move from one table to other to accommodate people entering and at the end I had to order my food myself at the counter.

A traditional English pub serving very good drinks and food. The service is friendly and the atmosphere lively/comfy. The cod was fried perfectly and served along a delicious tartare sauce. The potatoes were lovely especially when paired with their aioli. The honey mustard made the sausage extra savory, delicious. And of course they have a nice selection of ales and beers. They have some good deals on food and drinks to help out budget travelers. Dos thumbs up 👍👍
