About Bell
This historic coaching Inn, known locally as the Crooked House, is claimed to date from 1460, although the building itself is 16th century with later additions. It was at one time East Molesey’s first post office. The 18th century highwayman Claude Duvalier hid from the Bow Street Runners here. The naval officer atop the weathervane looking through his spyglass for customers, originally stood on the parish church looking for the congregation. Full of nooks and crannies, suitable for romantic liaisons. The large garden has a children’s play area in it. Stone and wood floors, walls decorated with old photos of the area. Three TV screens for sports. Quiz night Tue. Occasional live music. The changing beers include at least one local one. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

Went for a pint a couple of days ago. The ladies behind the bar were really nice and welcoming. The history and age of this place is so interesting - built in 1460 - it has many stories and it is said that Henry VIII frequented here too. We sat outside and enjoyed the openness and the weather. Didn’t try the food but the beer was good!

Just home from my daughter’s incredible 18th birthday party. From the moment I booked it I knew it was going to be a special night in the bell. Emily, Ashleigh and the whole bar team made it a night to remember. The service was incredible. The food was amazing. They could not have done anything more for us. Thank you so much team. X x x

I regularly go to The Bell with family and friends because in my opinion it's the best pub in Molesey! Emily and her team are always friendly, welcoming and do everything they can to ensure your time there is well spent and enjoyable. I have eaten there countless times and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. The menu is varied and great value for money.

Fantastic local pub with a lovely 'homely' atmosphere. The staff are always welcoming and it's great value for money - especially the lunch deal menu. It's quiz night is always fun too!

Bright and atmospheric pub. You can never get away with having just a quick drink. You always end up making the most of the afternoon by getting involved with chatter and ordering some delicious food from the kitchen thst never disappoints. I look forward to returning, it's fast one of my favourite spots to visit.
