About Mute Swan
Traditional pub offering British fare in a relaxed upstairs dining room & a wine bar downstairs.
Previously a Blubeckers restaurant it has since had a complete makeover and reopened under its new name in 2014 and now a popular and friendly Brunning and Price Free House opposite the palace gates that draws locals and tourists alike. The main feature as you enter is the wrought iron spiral staircase to the restaurant area (also accessible via normal stairs). Food is also served downstairs with a comprehensive food menu available, bar snacks listed on a chalk board. Cask beers change frequently and there is an extensive range of wine, whisky, rum and gin. Walls are covered with old pictures and the wood floor is partially covered with rugs under the tables. A real log fire in the bar area is lit during colder months. Outside tables at the front and a side semi-covered courtyard space. There are no distracting TV screens to spoil the pub atmosphere. Due to the physical limitations of the building, they cannot accommodate prams or have wheelchair accessible facilities.

Outstanding free pub right by Hampton Court Palace. The atmosphere was great..very friendly, and the service outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They were awesome. The beer was better than I've had in 20 years and it makes me miss England. Recommendations were very helpful for a beer I would enjoy. Prices very affordable. I will definitely take friends when I'm next in England..and would Recommend to anyone.

Outstanding food and wine, and brilliant service from Matt who was very knowledge and helpful. Particularly good for celiac guests - my wife got to have a pie which is a rare treat for the gluten intolerant. I had duck noodles which was a delight!

Mixed reviews here. My husband absolutely loved the lamb shoulder, raved it was best he ever had. I had the chicken pie, the pie was tasty, but the mash and sauce were over salty, shame because I could tell it was cooked well. The burrata was cold I expect the tomatoes and cheese to be warm. Staff were excellent, great service. I was only visiting here for the day, if not I would go again
