This is hands down the best bar I was at in my trips to London. I took some bar tours of London and visited many great places. The owner and all the staff here are far better and the atmosphere is a step above. Thanks for giving my family such a great time and I will be back!

A rare chintzy olde worlde boozer on the fringe of the City, that was a regular 'crawl' stop off back in the 80s. Now with not one but two (admittedly compact and bijou) music rooms that gets a wide range of top quality acts from Americana, Folk and other genres. Helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere on the Friday I was there (for the basement venue gig) made me think I should get back down there more often once again!

One great thing about living in London is that there are always great pubs yet to be discovered. This stand-alone pub on Farringdon Road is well worth a visit, and more. Friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, and an eclectic well-executed menu, with changing daily specials, based on produce from Smithfield and New Covent Garden, make it stand out from many of the usual formulaic chain pubs, even though it operates under under the Shepherd Neame umbrella. Even the wallpaper has a certain dated charm. Need one say any more?

We rented the main room for a party and had the most amazing experience. Amazing pub, Angie and the staff were great and super hospitable. Thank you!

Used to come here a lot in 2009 - 2011 and loved it. Can't quite put my finger on it but recent times I've visited haven't lived up to the good ol days. Prices are on the higher side. The outside area is at a good location for watching the world go by.
