About Three Kings

Funky community pub offering simple meals and a variety of entertainment and events.

A curved fronted house in Clerkenwell Close - for a while called Kings of Clerkenwell but this has now reverted to Three Kings. One bar with 4 handpumps. Superbly polished linoleum floor. Smaller upstairs function rooms. Limited opening hours at weekends. Rare to see a turntable and vinyl being played here. Fine Mann Crossman and Paulin window. Became a managed Ei Group pub in February 2019. Reverted to tenanted April 2024. Following refurbishment in 2021 the original tiling on the exterior has been removed and the interior substantially altered.

A small community pub opposite St. James chapel. Good beer both keg and cask. A gentle, comfortable place to to enjoy a pint and watch the world go by.

I've been going to this pub for around 15 years. It was closed for some time after covid and I'm glad to see that it's now reopened. It's had a thorough refurb, but had retained it's character. Good place for an evening drink.

14.50 for two shandy’s.filled 3/4 of lemonade. Two pint are the same cost. Avoid this place. I’m left upset and a little bit lonely. Noodle bar across the road, fantastic

Very smart pub in a lovely location. I didn’t visit before the current decor so can’t comment, nevertheless it’s an attractive pub. Five hand pumps but, at the time of my visit, only DoomBar and Seafarers on; Landlord and Harvey’s off, plus one empty. Just needs a little more attention to real ale options to make it five stars!

What a comfortable and well lived little place this is. Big old fireplace with a Chet Baker poster above it. Doors open onto the lane by the square. As comfortable as my old cords. Wish I had my dog with me (although I never checked to see if hounds would be allowed). Fantastic music, and wall collage of pictures taken from old Sunday supplements. Beer was good. I had the Harvey’s Best Bitter, which was around £4. The bar serves pork pies too. Friendly lady behind the bar. A good, honest pub which I will actively seek out in future.
