About Cat & Mutton
Traditional gastropub opposite a popular park, with British blackboard menu and weekend DJ sessions.
Pub overlooking London Fields at the top of Broadway market dating from 1729 which was restored in 2014 by Tom Gibson of Rubys in Dalston. Remnants of Charringtons inter-war features remain in the form of the windows, huge gilded advertising mirrors and two gilded panels in the bar-back. Taken over by City Pub Company in 2016. The upstairs cocktail bar (accessed via a spiral staircase) is spacious and has an unusual iron ceiling. Food is not served Monday/Tuesday but you can order pizzas from Yard Sale.

Had a wonderful vegan christmas roast here on the weekend. A lovely pub, we sat upstairs and the place has a great atmosphere. Had sourdough bread, mulled wine, wellington roast (Vegan is without Yorkshire puds) and apple crumble with ice cream (all vegan options). Was a group of 6, so we booked a table in advance - recommended as it gets busy and most tables were reserved! Service was great and we had a fun time!

A decent pub for drinks & a Sunday Roast! Veggie roast option available which can be made vegan upon request!

The food was delicious, a perfect Sunday roast and the pigs and blankets were great. Despite everything being lovely with our meal, we left on a sour note. Our bill had service charge applied and when it came to paying I asked to pay the bill with no service. This was not due to anything being wrong with the service and I told the waitress that everything was fine. She questioned us about it again to which I then felt I had to express it was due financial situations. We paid the bill and the waitress walked to another colleague 5 metres away from us and we could hear them talking about how we…

Cozy and Quirky: This charming pub offers a unique atmosphere with vintage decor, eclectic artwork, and a playful touch of stuffed animals. Great beer selection, with options ranging from classic to craft brews. While the ground floor is lively with music and dancing, the upstairs provides a quieter, more intimate setting.

I like this pub... but it is a bit on the pricey side... £20 for a roast, the food is well cooked and tasty but the portion isnt great... one half carrot, one half turnip and a tablespoon of what i presume to be swede... hidden under the obligatory giant yorkshire pudding, meat portion was reasonable, but why not more veg? Pints are at the upper price for London which is usual for a trendy part of town. Staff are always friendly in my experience.
