About Cellar Taps

Renovated Victorian pub with antique furniture, a rotating list of guest beers and a British menu.

There used to be six handpumps but now there are just 4 - cask one 2 of them, the other 2 taps are not used. Changed name to Cellar Taps some time in 2022.

Occupies a large street-corner site with huge picture windows. The seating area wraps itself around a curved bar with the area's usual standard fittings of sofas, large mixed tables, wooden chairs, candles and subdued lighting.

There is a large back room with an impressive lantern and, if anything, with an even more chilled-out air. Outside seating on street-side. The ceiling in the front bar area is an impressive reproduction, the tiling on the side entrance is original and quite outstanding and one wonders if the whole pub was once similarly decorated.

Plenty of board games to pass the time with.

We have not been here for a long time, but today we decided why not. Good decision! The roast was great, savoury and feeling, good choice of beer and really lovely bar staff/service. Relaxed atmosphere, good value.

I had my birthday drinks at the Cellar Taps for the first time this year. The staff were fantastic. They looked after all of us so well- and we were a big group. Everyone felt very welcome. The beer is excellent, specially a pint of Harvey's Sussex, and the food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

New menu is banging! One of the best burgers I’ve had in London. Parmesan fritters are incredible - would absolutely come back for the food

Since it was relaunched, I've been to The Cellar Taps to watch the Football, (excellent atmosphere and views), to eat a roast, (superbly cooked and great value), to grab a burger, (excellent deal: burger fries pint for £14 and really tasty), have a drink, (great selection and very well kept), and most recently attended a party, (brilliant night). On every occasion the beer and food has been great and the staff super friendly and attentive. a great pub where you're well looked after and always made to feel welcome. it's become my new watering hole of choice

Terrible experience at The Cellar Taps. The owner / guy in charge of the pub - who was very drunk this night - I think his name was Tom - tried to use the ‘#metoo’ when he wanted me and my friends to leave the pub (two girls, two guys). This is totally unacceptable and disgusting to use that against us to leave his pub. A nice lady behind the bar said we had 10 minutes, he decide to interrupt us and butt in using that vile language. He then decided to follow us out of the pub to square up to my two girl friends. He should not be in charge and needs firing. Will never return to this pub and I…
