About Shakespeare
Relaxed local with striking paintings and sculptures plus a small beer garden and a quiz night.
Attractive and welcoming street corner pub. The central bar dominates this pub, which has large windows to both streets and much etched glass. They don’t serve food, but do highly recommend the pizza shop right next door and you can bring their food in. Part of Remarkable Pubs. No entrance after 23.00. Beers can vary but mostly are all from Fuller's with one "guest". Trivia Quiz Monday. Beer garden. Sky TV.

Richard, the general manager, very kindly allowed us to have our wedding party there. It was the most beautiful and special day. The staff were phenomenal. The pub is a perfect place for drinks in the sun, watching football and has a very chilled atmosphere.

🚇 Dalston Kingsland 🍺 £5.50 Guinness ❤️ The quintessential local pub. . Nestled in quiet residential backstreet in the heart of Stoke Newington you’ll find The Shakespeare pub. The nearest station is Dalston Kingsland which is just over a ten minute walk to get here. . The Shakespeare Tavern as it was then called was built by Whitbread in 1866. Today it is run by one of the best pubco’s in London, Remarkable Pubs. . This once two bar pub has an elongated Island servery which has some superb colourful retro posters behind the optics. One of my favourite features of this pub are the two…

Very lucky to have this pub around the corner. The Guinness is always spot on, sport on the telly, welcoming bar team AND pickled eggs and Tabasco sauce. The garden is great for the summer and if you end up in there a bit too long you can get emergency rations from the pizza place next door. Highly recommend the pub quiz!
