About Clapton Hart
Massive venue with a stylishly downtrodden feel, a terrace and a range of hard-to-find craft beers.
This multi-roomed Antic pub is a real oasis. Eight handpumps serve a changing range of ales, mostly from small breweries. Staff are helpful, with tasters readily offered. The interior could be described as shabby chic, with an assortment of furniture and bric-a-brac. No TV in one room, though there is wi-fi. Wheelchair access is via a ramp that must be asked for.

Great atmosphere! Almost a museum! Lovely staff, music and space to chill, eat, and play! Amazing. Sunday Roasts! A must try! But make sure you go on empty stomach! They are huge 🥰🔥🥰 !

Massive... lot's of rooms, cubby holes and seating styles, even a large garden area. Shabby chic and intentionally down at heel fashionable feel. Friendly and swift bar service plus some great real ales and wines. Sensible prices. Dog friendly too

Went for Lunch, the menu looked nice and I ordered the Sunday roast over the gnocchi. Sadly a mistake. The roast was terribly dry. For £15 the portions looked great however the chicken and potatoes tasted old. Creamed leeks cold and foul. Red cabbage dressed with balsamic ok and maple roasted parsnips and carrots not bad. A pint of Rosie’s Pig strawberry cider saved the very average meal. Highly recommended if you enjoy sweet beverages. Otherwise my friend enjoyed her vegan roast and sticky toffee pudding. And there is an area where you can enjoy your meal where it’s dog friendly (although…

Spacious bar, with the “beer garden” in the back. Has a pay-to-play fussball and pool table - Beer & bone marrow burger’s just a standard Pattie burger - Chicken burger is better as it’s buttermilk fried

Large pub with a great beer selection and a welcoming vibe that was as much indie alternative as it was hipster cool. When we went on a Saturday night the DJ had just set up as we left but the first few songs he played fit the mood perfectly and with a 1am licence it felt like the night was just getting going when we had to leave. The food menu is a bit limited but it's certainly not targeting the gastropub market but much more a fun non pretentious independent spirit. I liked it even and i know my younger self would have loved it.
