About Coach & Horses
Narrow mock Tudor pub with real ales on tap and a typical British comfort food menu.
An excellent refuge from the nearby Bond Street shopping area. First licensed in 1738, it was rebuilt in 1933 and has an imposing mock-Tudor exterior contrasting sharply with its surroundings. This is thought to be London's narrowest pub and inside it is tiny; the atmosphere is traditional, with wooden beams and panelling; pictures on the walls feature caricatures of 19th-century politicians and clerics. Four handpumps although not all are always in use. The small dining room with bar upstairs is available for private events and functions.

The pub is a good size with two well-decorated floors. The staff are friendly, and you can pay with cash or card. Service was quick, and they also serve food. Everything was fine. I recommend this pub.

Finally made it to Coach & Horses Mayfair! Amazing place I had a good pint of Guinness and a delicious Duck Hash! OMG this was so good I had never had a duck hash before but the flavors were great sweet and sour so good! Brigitte Bardot did a photo shoot here in the 1963 while filming ‘The Ravishing Idiot’ with Anthony Perkins. The building survived the bombing of London during World War Two. Can’t recommend this place enough a must visit while in London Mayfair area!

Lovely historical pub. Great atmosphere. Didn’t eat but the food looked good, especially the steak & ale pie with triple cooked chips. Queen Elizabeth II was born at no 17 on 21 April 1926 in the home of her maternal grandparents. And Asprey, jewellers to the late Queen, is opposite. Walking in the footsteps of royalty. Humbling.

I chose the Coach and Horses Mayfair as I could reserve a table online, Vegan options were available and I could walk to the Palladium. Despite having confirmation of a reservation, the young chap couldn’t find a booking but there were free tables, so we just could take a seat. The photo of the chair I have attached, pretty much sums up what to expect from the Coach and Horses. Sticky damaged tables, broken chairs and slow service. It was 6pm on a Thursday in May and most people were there for drinks only. Our food order took about 50 minutes for the Vegan chilli and fish and chips. Edit…
