About Crown & Greyhound

Popular, historic British gastropub with tree-canopied garden, 20 bedrooms and a dog-friendly ethos.

Large historic pub set in the heart of Dulwich village. Was once two premises - one for the gentry and one for the labourers. Well worth a visit to enjoy the architectural features in this multi-roomed gem. Large paved area at the front and landscaped garden to the rear. Modern classic food served, and 2-4 changing real ales usually available. Reopened in June 2017 after an extended period of closure while it was being converted and extended to provide hotel accommodation.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Crown & Greyhound restaurant, and we must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish, largely thanks to Ashley. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The Crown & Greyhound, nestled in the heart of Dulwich, boasts a charming blend of traditional British pub vibes with a modern twist. The decor is both stylish and comfortable, making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal. Ashley was simply phenomenal. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm for the menu made us feel right at home. She took the…

This pub has been on my family's radar for as long as I can remember! Many happy memories and, the last time many of us were there all together, was for my mother's wake in 2008 when we hired the conservatory. The pub did us proud. Since then it's undergone a complete renovation but in essence remains its familiar self. My husband and I were there Sunday 29/09/2024 for a drink and snack. We enjoyed a sharing platter of baked camembert with toasted sourdough, celery sticks and cranberry chutney but, boy, the drinks were expensive! A pint of Timothy Taylor and a 175ml glass of white pino were…

I came to this bar and restaurant all be it very reluctantly. I find Dulwich restaurants stuffy and full of the middle and upper class stuffiness. However as soon as I walked in I was welcomed by Ronni. She made us feel welcome from the get go and was so nice. The food was okay, the starter which was the Cauliflower Wings- a bit salty for me! However DD swears that the scallops were the best she had ever tasted. They did not have my cocktail on the menu and Ronni got them to make it for me, and honestly the mojito was delicious. I will definitely go there again, if only for the wonderful…

Hotel is quite and cozy. Food was good. Breakfast was cooked. Restaurant has variety of food. The terrace of the restaurant was open and very busy. A good option hotel if you Dont have many bags. I had like 4 bags and the lift was going only to the first floor, but my room was in the second one😢
