About Crown in Sundridge

This long-established pub - previously the Crown Hotel - closed in March 2013 and reopened as an Indian restaurant named Cinnamon Culture. Eventually the restaurant moved to a new location in Chislehurst and the premises have now been taken over by Punch Taverns, reopening on March 31st, 2022.

This is a very large and spacious pub, with this impression enhanced by the high ceilings. In the bar a are mixture of seating and table arrangements. The flooring is predominantly wooden, with tiling near the bar. The pub has a large garden area.

There is an extensive and varied menu, which can be viewed on the pub website (see link on this page).

Charlotte was very kind and helpful when I asked about having my Dad's wake here. Everything went as well as we'd hoped. Nice buffet, good service, lovely, tastefully decorated space and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We reserved the cosy end with the rug and dining table which felt just separate enough without being closed off. This place is a hidden gem I think.

Really great pub. Plenty of beer on offer, keg and cask, and a good range. The bar staff were great and the wait staff were superb. The food was so tasty, had the katsu balls, the lamb and the sticky toffee pudding. All delicious! Prices are pretty reasonable too.

First time visiting The Crown and I would definitely return. The service was so helpful and friendly. It’s a really lovely building - beautiful interiors and the garden looked nice too. Everything I ate was tasty. The music was good. I like that it’s dog friendly (a bold cat walked in at the end of the night too!) and the selection of food (lots of veggie and vegan options) and drinks was wide and great value. Really good job!

When I visited it was quiet (Tuesday evening) so plenty of seats to choose from. Nice outside seating area which was what drew me in to visit. Didn't order food, but menu seemed in line with other pub offerings. Didn't host traditional beers on tap but had other offerings. Good wine must and cocktail offerings too.

We visited The Crown for a Sunday roast, really looking forward to this as we haven’t tried since it reopened as a Pub. As soon as we arrived we were slightly put off by it being a cashless venue.. for a pub it really should take cash! Got to the bar and all the staff were gathered around the chatting not taking any notice of the fact we were waiting to be served. Asked for our table.. ‘it’s at the back near the TV and gestured to the left’ table was right next to a huge tv between both the men’s and women’s toilets. Not a pleasant place to put tables I’m sure most people would agree! We were…
