About Crown & Anchor

No-frills pub with garden and patio, TV sports, wifi and British food, plus event catering.

Friendly and comfortable local in a quiet residential street. The décor is plain and conservative. The stone patio area at the rear can be used as a function room, but in good weather, one wall can be removed, providing access to the garden. Hot snacks are available throughout the day until 9pm.

In autumn 2018 the pub manager negotiated a new long-term lease independent from the small pubco who held the previous lease, and set about revitalising the pub.

The pub also no longer has a beer tie, and management intend to have a changing and varied selection of real ales. At present, the real ale selection is limited to one or two, with one usually from the Bexley Brewery.

The pub has regular music nights and plan an increasing range of events. Check the website and social media links for more details.

We hosted my nieces baby shower here and the staff were amazing, I had my 6 year old daughter with me who by the end of the baby was practically staff and has a new best friend called Martin ( The Owner ) 😂😂 and beautiful Indie the dog who my daughter adored. Nothing was too much trouble and we had an amazing day from start to finish. Perfect venue, perfect staff I couldn’t have faulted the place at all. We hope that in the near future we get to have another event there. We will be popping back for lunch very soon.

Working in the area and visited for lunch. Was greated by a super cute, friendly and polite puppy, German Shepperd girl. My other half had burger and I had small bites- all was great. Lovely garden expecially on a bright day. Would return again

This pub is a little gem. We had a birthday for one of our friend. They were very friendly, the food absolutely delicious, never had such a tasty and great sized burger in a pub before, and in good price so hats of chef...told him too. Definitely worth a visit. Garden is lovely too. Big thank you for the staff.

Used to be a great pub with great service, the lady who ran it was really friendly and made you feel at home. Male owner (could be new?) unfortunately is ruining the atmosphere of the pub by making you feel as if your an inconvenience for being there, which has made us quite uncomfortable. Won't be returning.
