About Crutched Friar

Classic city pub with a vaulted wooden ceiling, designer wallpaper and curry evenings on Tuesdays.

You walk into a large lobby where openings to the left and right have plenty of seating for drinking and eating, especially at lunchtimes. A couple of steps lead to the bar, lit by a skylight. Beyond is another drinking area leading to a patio garden.

Their steak pie was the BEST thing I've eaten on my trip to London. The restaurant is quite large and every single table had a great ambience. On less busy days, you can pick a table to sit at and order at the bar. I still dream about this pie. Crutched Friar will be the first place I visit when I return to London

Came here tonight because of the traditional dishes and so glad we did! The food was delicious and service was friendly :) I especially appreciated the vegan/vegetarian options and separate menu!

Great fish and chips, loved the tartare sauce. The chicken wings were so tasty and the girls working here are really friendly and helpful 😊

Nice local pub. The steak and venison pie is a must have and worth seeking this place out. Great selection of cask ales. Not far from the Tower of London on a very quiet street

Such a great pub! If you are looking for an authentic pub, come here! The atmosphere is quiet and friendly, the staff was helpful and nice, the food was delicious, and the drinks were great! It is what you would expect from a pub, a place to have a drink and visit with friends! The music is not loud. I hate bars where you have to scream to be heard. Thank you, Crutched Friar!
