A friendly Victorian corner pub which is the only riverside pub in the London Borough of Lewisham. It is situated next to the River Quaggy on the main road between Lewisham and Lee. The exterior is little changed since originally built in the 1870s. The interior is not so well preserved being a single room dominated by the front-facing bar. Usually has real ale available. Came for a couple pints, nice big garden, friendly staff and under 4.50 a pint of fosters very good value for money this close to Blackheath etc. Will come back soon!

Good old fashioned pub that seems to draw in a friendly Irish crowd too, as the night we went there were mostly Irish gentlemen sitting at the bar. The bar staff are pleasant and friendly, and there is a respect of first come first served at the bar, so no one jumps ahead of you, which sadly seems to be lost in a lot of places. A great pub for a local drink or to start the night, and even if you stay you'd have a great time too! A well run pub and we'll definitely be back

Friendly Irish pub, cheap drinks, Sky Sports and horse racing channels. Didn't have food, no sign they did it whilst I was there.

Another great pub the locals and bar staff are very helpful and friendly I would recommend this place for Aussies and Kiwi's to visit if they're out this way

An absolutely brilliant pub with something of an Irish bent. The staff were amazing: cheerful, friendly and happy to have a chat. A bit of a locals pub, but everyone was welcoming. A small outdoor area 'behind' the bar which then leads on to a nice sized beer garden. Happily sitting at the bar (haven't done that for ages) enjoying one of the best Guinness' I have had in a very long time. Apparently the Hardys & Hansons Kimberley Bitter was also excellent.
