About Duke Of St Albans

Sept 2024 - 5 cask beers as listed albeit we are not sure what is regular and what is guest! The cider did not have a pump clip as it had not been supplied so do check the Board to the left of the bar which shows what real cider is available. You will also find 4 keg beers for the Saint Monday brewery.

With this pub Grace Land secured its eighth London pub site: Grace Land is a London-based pub group, which also owns the Saint Monday Brewery. Situated opposite the main gate to Hampstead Heath along Parliament Hill, the pub had been trading as Swains Wine & Store in recent years.

Payment by card only.

Grace Lands co-founders Andreas Akerlund and Anselm Chatwin said: “We are passionate about bringing back lost pubs and planning a family-friendly place for all to enjoy.” The group carried out a major refurbishment to bring back its 150-year-old history. Saturday all-day brunches and Sunday roasts promise to be something extra special, as well as the group’s signature selected beer offer.

It followed the acquisition of the London Fields Brewery from Carlsberg Marston and the launch of the Saint Monday brewery and bar. Grace Land also operates the Bethnal Green Tavern, The Kings Arms, Red Hand, The Axe, Earl of Essex, and Black Heart in Camden.

A perfect pub next to the Heath. Like many locals I was really excited when the news broke that the Duke of St Albans was reopening and had high expectations. These have have been more than met. The pub is well judged with an excellent beer selection and good food. The staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the drinks selection. Unlike some pubs the Duke is very welcoming to kids and dogs. I love to come here for a quick pint after a walk with the kids on the Heath and we're always made to feel welcome. Thank you.

Wonderful newly refurbished pub, with a cocktail menu, varied craft beer selection, coffee, and food. Excellent service from Oscar and Joe. GM Anna has done an amazing job. Key features: heated outdoor section, gender neutral toilets

A delightful pub by the Heath, with a great drinks offering and ample outdoor space. It has been a joy to see it reopen as of last year. Staff is kind and very happy to assist. We enjoyed the generously sized fennel sausage roll - would return.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch yesterday. We had a mixture of beef, chicken and nut roast. Everything cooked to perfection with super roast potatoes. Only criticism sticky toffee pudding had sold out by the time we got there so will have to go back!!

The staff are always welcoming, helpful and warm. Top marks to all the staff and thank you for really taking seriously the art of hospitality. Although the pub can get quite noisy and not mad about the male/female shared toilets but the staff keep me returning! I can recommend the Sunday roast beef. A great plate of hearty food, all delicious and sensible price. Saturday breakfast is also really good. So rare to get home made hash browns and baked beans and really tasty. They serve a great brew too! Thank you St. Albans staff.
