About George & Dragon
British pub fare & drinks in a hotel tavern with a pool table, leather couches & framed photos.
At the heart of the historic Acton Town Centre, this welcoming venue has three bars of real character; an atmospheric front bar (now used for seating and live music) leads through to a heritage bar with exposed original features probably from the 17th
Century, and a cavernous and stylish back room which serves as the bar and the currently unused brewery. The bar features a list of landlords dating back to 1759. The back of the bar is dominated with an impressive array of vast copper and chrome brewing vessels, whilst the large square bar in the centre of the room is adorned by two art nouveau statues. The north wall is covered by a Rousseau style leafy mural.

The George & Dragon is a traditional British pub located in Acton, London. It has been serving locals and visitors for over 200 years and is a spot for a drink or something to eat. The pub has a dreary and barren atmosphere, with dark wood paneling, exposed beams, and a fireplace. There are several different areas to sit, including a large bar area, outdoor seating and dining area. There used to be a bar at the front where you could enjoy a good conversation with the locals but this has been replaced with some weird coffee bar setup. The food menu at The George & Dragon is extensive, mainly…

Food was great. No live band though (on a Friday night) and probably only another 5 people in the pub. Would I come back? For food yes, but then I'd leave. Its not a night out. Also Add ⅓ to the menu shown on google and that'll be about right. Menu is out of date there. The wine in the photo, I had one glass and took the rest home.

One of the most historical pub in London. Very cozy, London style with incredible craft beer and good music played all the time. During the weekend You can attend live music and jam session performed by great musicians. I totally recommend this pub both in winter and in summer when you can stay also in the secret terrace drinking a beer or read a book. Great place outside the busy London center!

Update: try the Nam Tok Moo - marinated pork with all the flavour.. Great local boozer, rotating keg and cask selection, friendly staff, amazing beer + Thai curry for a tenner deals Tuesdays and Wednesdays too.

Trivia night with Issac was so much fun! Although I didn't participate, he was a great host and created a vibe that makes me want to return to play next time I am in Acton. I randomly ended up there when my flight was delayed traveling back to Canada, and I desperately needed a guiness lol. Staff were very accommodating and great historic building. Thanks so much for a great experience!
