About George & Dragon

Carpeted bar with painted dado-panelling, a brick fireplace and pub grub, plus weekly jazz sessions.

Set off the road in its own car park, this tastefully refurbished village-centre pub has several drinking areas and a separate restaurant, which can be used by drinkers when not required for diners. It is a south west of the capital outlier of the Black Dog Pub Company, which owns three other pubs in South East London. Open fires welcome customers in winter months and a recently extended outside drinking area is popular in warmer weather. Several TVs show live sport, with an outside marquee set up for major events. Quiz night every Tuesday. Occasional live music on a Saturday. Sponsor of local sports team Imber Old Boys FC. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

We went to the george and dragon last night (Mon 29th) and had a lovely dining experience. We were greeted by friendly and attentative staff who had good knowledge of the drinks and ordering process. We then proceeded to the garden which is well kept and a really nice space for outdoor dining and watching sport. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming this was helped by how polite and helpful the staff where. The food arrived in good timing and we where all pleasantly surprised at how large the portions are. We each had a burger and thoroughly enjoyed them! The beef burger was tender and…

New landlord and small changes have made a big difference to this village pub. Had Sunday lunch and the food and service was outstanding. Outdoor space is refreshed and much improved. Table service is fast and efficient. Food and drinks were priced above other local pubs but I think it’s worth it.

Fun pub with great food. Inside and outside spaces and lots of screens to watch sport. Had a great time watching the rugby there.

Beautiful pub, plenty of choices to sit, indoor and outdoor. Also plays sports matches. Ordered fish & chips + chicken wings. Fish was good, mushy peas was seasoned with herbs and nice, chips was chewy and not fresh. Chicken wings was crispy and nice but without any salt. The garden is lovely and the toilets are clean with lots of funny posters:)

Great pub with a good beer and food selection . Good quality is spot on and fairly priced . Beautiful garden out the back with plenty of seating . But gives you old skool English pub vibes which you can not beat
