About Angel
Back around 1780 parts of the pub used to be a court house and jail, while the other end was a butchers. This old low beamed pub, parts of which date from the 16th century, has the appearance of a coaching inn, with a large bay window at the front of the premises, low ceilings and exposed internal wooden beams and stands on a corner opposite the cricket green. There’s a centre bar with three areas around it. A cosy carpeted lounge is on one side with an area featuring a stone fireplace to the other. Old sewing machines feature above the bay window. A room for private dining or functions is available.

We had a late lunchtime roast on a Sunday, food was good, had roast beef, the salmon and the kids had burger and paste. All the portions were a general site and well cooked. My daughter had the burger and she said it was the best one she’s ever had, and she tells it how it is! Drink selection is good, Staff, very helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere and a log fire makes me feel like we could/should have stayed for longer.

The best pub in Thames Ditton. Good beers, home cooked & hearty food, lovely atmosphere. Has a big room out back for functions that we use for special occasions. Landlords very friendly & that sets the tone!

Such a nice cozy pub… i really liked the ambience…warm and cozy atmosphere…staff was really nice and warm…definitely would recommend it
